Random Thoughts

  • I was wondering if this was my first ever bullet-point post but then I realized that the very last post I did had bullet points. I'm such a dork...

  • If and when I ever get upstairs to download some pictures from my camera (not that going upstairs is a problem....the problem is the DINOSAUR computer that the camera dock is connected to coupled with my lack of patience), I have a tutorial post to do regarding some art pieces that I made for my sister's new nursery.

  • Our Men's Ministry is having a camping trip tonight....all of the guys are so excited. It's perfect camping weather. Or, at least, I'm assuming it is...I actually don't think that there is such a thing.

  • Some time ago, I mentioned a diet but have never followed up on this blog. I actually have lost 14 pounds and have begun to form what feels like some good lifelong habits as it regards eating and exercising. I am very encouraged and looking forward to looking and feeling much different come June 2009 when Jeff and I take a cruise for our 20th anniversary.

  • I am currently participating in a study of the book of Ephesians on Sunday nights at church. Wow!

  • I am also in a Tuesday morning Bible Study. We are studying Priscilla Shirer's book, "When God Speaks: Discerning the Voice of God". Double Wow!!!

  • My boys are on Fall Break (Thursday - Monday).

  • Jordan is spending this long weekend in Atlanta with Barry & Wendy. I miss him but hope he's enjoying himself.

  • Braeden has his buddy, Henry, over for some fun. They have been scarce around here; mostly playing Wii and showing up occasionally for something to eat or drink.

  • I don't think that Braeden has one pair of pants from last year that he can wear this Fall/Winter. He has grown upward and outward and a shopping trip is in order.

  • Something happened in the last week or so that made me really think about who is actually reading my blog. I do know that total strangers read it and I'm okay with that. I also know that friends and family read it and I'm obviously okay with that. I think that the problem, for me, came when I realized that people that I know or have known but who, for instance, would probably not even speak to me in public were reading my blog; and not only were they reading it but they felt it necessary to tell something that was posted here; apparently thinking it was big news (but it wasn't). I guess my point is....I prayerfully consider everything that I type on this blog. I do not have anything to hide. I write here to journal what's going on in my life and the lives of many people that I love. I write here, sometimes, in hopes that something that God is speaking unto my life, will touch someone else. I write to share and to encourage, to make someone smile and/or to make them think.

You are so funny. :)
I love the When God Speaks study. She is wonderful She spoke at our church and I love her! Congrats on the 14lb weight loss. I think I found them for you. Sorry about the readers that may not have good intentions. Keep writing the things God lays on your heart and let Him take care of the rest. I also love that we both slack sometimes in posting but still love to lurk.
Have a great Sunday my friend.
Blessings,
Linda
