HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?

Update: For those of you who visited my blog when I originally posted this, you will notice a difference. I promise this will not become a habit. After having that last template for a couple of days, I decided it was too dark and went with something a little lighter and brighter.

You know those people who like to rearrange their furniture? I used to do that some but not so much anymore. However, I find myself very often wanting to give my blog a new look. Before now, I had done templates from Blogger and from Pyzam but was itching for something "cuter" so I give kudos to Leelou Custom Blog Design for my new look. This is not a custom design but a freebie that she has available. I have considered having a custom one designed but couldn't really justify that for my little tiny spot on the web. I have looked at Leelou's site on several occasions and went back there today for another look. She has apparently been OVERWHELMED with requests for custom work (and I understand why) and now has a waiting list. Maybe by the time she is ready to accept some more work, I'll have talked myself into something just for me.

Happy 4th !!!

I would've, could've, really should've had a great post prepared for Independence Day. But I didn't.

And since I didn't, I want to share two awesome ones with you that I read today.

So, don't just sit there, go read Pat Hood's "Happy Birthday America" post. But maybe you shouldn't tell him I sent you because he doesn't have a clue who I am. I'm a lurker on his site but, if it helps at all, my sister goes to his church. Think that'll stand up in court?

Also, Melissa has a great post entitled, "Sweet Freedom". She doesn't really know me either but we have communicated through our blogs and by email, etc. I have her permission to link to her site so I think that I am on the down-low by sending you her way.

I'm in deep now

To further commit myself to this blog, I have now spent an hour changing the look and editing every part of it. It was fun, I must admit, but we'll see if I stick to it.

The thing that scared me away last time was comments from others. Oh no!!! You mean someone is actually reading???

The pressure is ON

Now that I've set up this blog and posted my first entry, I do feel the pressure to produce something magnificent. On one hand, I read others' blogs and wonder where their ideas come from. On the other, I have a million ideas and just don't know where to begin.

I don't want this blog to be all about me (or do I.....hmmm). Something to ponder.....

If you can't beat 'em....

For some time, I've been lurking in the blog world; marveling that so many "regular" people have so much great stuff to say. It reminds me of the year that I finally decided to write the dreaded annual Christmas letter. I had received many for years but never written my own. In all honesty, I didn't think that my life was nearly interesting enough for a whole page of news. However, I decided to give it a spin and first time out of the block, I had to edit the letter from two pages - ha!

So, here goes....
