What does 20/300 look like?

Yesterday my uncorrected vision, on a 20/20 scale, was 20/300. The example below is 20/200 (I couldn't even find a 20/300 example).

Today, almost exactly 24 hours to the minute, thanks to Lasik surgery I have 20/20 vision!!!!

I plan to spend the rest of the day reading everything I can find - ha!

Great to hear from you. I am glad to be back as well. Congrats on the 20/20 vision. That sounds exciting! Happy 4th.
Blessings,

I know this post us super old... But I'm hoping you might answer a few questions for me.
My 5 month old daughter has a generic eye defect, her vision right now is 20/300 in her good eye and 20/600 in the other. It is likely not correctable, but at 20/300... Would you have been functional? Do you have any good tips for me? My husband and I both have 20/20 vision so it is hard to really understand (but the picture you posted gave me some good perspective.)
if you have the time to help, I really appreciate it. Thank you!

20/200 is legally blind. She will be able to see shapes at best. Textures, music and voice will be very important to her. She should be able to see bright colors near her, as in up to 8 inches from her face. The more she focuses the more likely her eyes are to continue developing. If she stops using her eyes all together her muscles in and around her eyes can atrophy. Fortunately she is very young and still growing. A lot can happen in a short period of time when it comes to babies. It also depends whether her eyes' development is just delayed or if there is a problem with her retina or choroid. You may want to ask your doctor about supplements such as Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Even if this does not naturally resolve it's self there are options: visual aids, Braille Institute, voice command software, and support services. Hope you have found this helpful.

I am happy that you were able to have Lasik. Sadly, I have been repeatedly told that I cannot have it. One eye is 20/1100 or so. Other one had been 20/1050 before it experienced a stroke so who knows.

I cannot imagine a baby having different prescriptions in her eyes. Or just bad vjsion at her age.

20/300 may not tell the whole story
Pre surgery my bad eye was 20/300 and this was a result of extreme nearsightedness. My vision was useless for reading at ordinary distances but I could read books inches from my that eye. Also the vision was adequate for indoor navigation.
